Clasp - Sahagun and Benevente
There are no official clasps (Marzenia 1842 and Tazeane 1842 were sometimes privately added)
When the ribbon alone is worn (see below) a further replica in miniature is added
instead each allied country issued its own victory medal using the same ribbon and an effigy of the figure of Victory - except Japan who used a traditional Samurai Warrior
instituted in 1854 following the need to recognise gallant acts performed in the Crimea
