Includes the Operation Lifesaver logo that was applied to at least 1 AMTRAK diesel locomotive. AMTRAK did roster a few ALCO S 2 4 diesel switchers after startup in 1971. They were used primarily at the Auto Train facility in Lorton, VA and also at Washington Union Station to replace ALCO RS 1 diesels. They were all subsequently
