but often superficial Pomerols
Peppery and meaty notes combine with ripe cherries and cassis on the nose of the 2017 Hermitage
Good stuff and this too will require all of a decade in the cellar to strut all its stuff
with a touch of mid-palate richness that makes it easy to drink now
Note that this well-made effort is going to require at least a few years of patience first
Vougeraie, Gevrey Chambertin Evocelles Vintage:2006 but often superficial Pomerols(from vines on the Brochon side). A cooler if not necessarily more refined nose speaks of airy scents that included high toned red pinot fruit, floral and stone nuances with undertones of warm earth and iron. There is a really attractive sense of energy and even more minerality on the precise, dusty, focused and impressively intense medium weight flavors that possess outstanding complexity and terrific length. This is a knockout for its level. (89 92)
