pear and honeysuckle nuances
The 2009 La Gaffelière has a rather over-the-top bouquet with smudged definition
A lightly spicy but notably earthy nose of a ripe and very fresh array of mixed red berries gives way to rich and utterly delicious flavors that possess excellent volume before terminating in a seductively textured finish that is shaped by dense but fine tannins
"Cabernet Franc ripens on a sweet side
The palate is well balanced with a lightly spiced opening
Taupenot Merme, Chambolle Musigny Vintage:2020 pear and honeysuckle nuances(from Les Bussires and the portion of La Taupe near La Combe dOrveau). This also offers a noticeable step up in elegance with its pretty mix of red currant, plum, dark cherry and pretty spice wisps. I very much like the texture of the middle weight flavors that possess both good density and minerality that become more apparent as the lingering and youthfully austere finish sits on the palate. Lovely and very Chambollesque.
