Philippe Pacalet, Gevrey Chambertin Vintage:2017 (15% alcohol)(from 6 different lieux dits). A ripe nose features notes of red raspberry, black cherry and earth. The exceptionally rich middle weight flavors possess a velvety, round and textured mouthfeel that terminates in a youthfully austere and reasonably long finale. This needs more depth but may well develop it if allowed a few years of bottle aging.
