Military Medal EIIR RAF Long Service This cross replaced all previousThe first awards of this MM were made during the Korean War although often awards announced in the name of The Queen resulted in a recipient recieving the medal with the head of King George VI. This award was ceased in 1993 as part of the review of the honours syetm and replaced by the Military Cross. The last award being made for Northern Ireland in that year, although other awards were announced later in the London Gazette these were all backdated.
