There is a velvety firmness to the mid-palate before moving onto an elongated finish that grows in complexity and amplitude as the expression resonates harmoniously

but had to recognise after one vintage that this was not possible

it is clear that Tokaji Aszu is the focus

Charbonniere, Chateauneuf Du Pape Vintage:2008 The palate is gently luxuriousBright red. High pitched aromas of red berries, cinnamon and mace, enhanced by a suave floral quality and a hint of orange zest. Distinctly energetic and pure, accented by lively red fruit flavors and strong mineral spine. Refreshingly brisk on the finish, which features tangy red berry and spice notes.
