The pin is made of silver metal, I don't know if it is sterling, it is unmarked. This is a lovely antique hat pin, measuring approximately 8 7 8" tall and the black head is 7 8" long x 7 8" wide. A wonderful collectible hat pin, looks wonderful in a hat pin holder.
